MeitY has notified the ‘Essential Requirement(s) for Security of CCTV’ for CCTV cameras vide gazette notification dated 09 April 2024. The last date of implementation of the Order has been extended to 9th April 2025.
CCTV developer/manufacturer vendor may implement TEE on Single chip (i.e. Micro Controller, Micro Chip, Secure Processor, Secure Chip etc.) or set of chips on single PCB.
iMQ, established at 2010, is a creator of embedded 8/16-bit MCU and security ICs. With patented hardware security cryptographic technologies, embedded products and comprehensive system solution services, iMQ provides stable, high-quality and highly competitive products, and continues to be committed to the innovation of CCTV, smart home, smart city, industrial control, and AIoT markets.
February 4, 2025, Hsinchu, Taiwan – iMQ, the innovator of embedded microcontrollers and security ICs, today announced that the entropy source generation engine for the security ICs has complied with SP800-90B standard and attained the NIST Entropy Source Verification (ESV) certification. The certified entropy source generation technology has been fully deployed in the iMQ security products series: SQ71xx and HQS60xx.
"We are pleased to announce that iMQ has passed NIST ESV certification. This provides our customers with the assurance that iMQ is a secure, reliable and trusted security solution provider”, said Bo Cheng, CEO of iMQ. This certification provides the highest level of security certification for entropy source to ensure that random number generator complies with the NIST CMVP FIPS 140-3 international specification.
Since April 1, 2022, NIST announced that a new Cryptographic Module Verification Program (CMVP) certification only accepts the security requirements of cryptographic modules as specified in FIPS 140-3. In December 2022, NIST further announced that an ESV certificate must be presented for CMVP certification submission. Since then, NIST ESV certification has become the ticket for manufacturers to achieve CMVP FIPS 140-3 certification. The ESV is a rigorous validation that requires extensive testing and validation. iMQ is dedicated to develop and deliver security ASICs and solutions to the customers, and this certification is a testament to that commitment.
About Sunnic
Sunnic India is offering supply chain management services to an IP camera manufacturer in India. As part of this, Sunnic India is involved in providing Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) and Transfer of Technology (TOT) services to the customer. These services help the manufacturer design and develop IP cameras according to the specific requirements of the Indian market.
Additionally, Sunnic India assists the customer in obtaining the STQC (Standardization Testing and Quality Certification) certification. This certification is crucial for ensuring that the IP cameras meet the standards set by the Indian government, particularly in terms of quality and performance, and it is often required for selling electronic products in India. By facilitating this certification process, Sunnic India ensures that the IP camera manufacturer is compliant with the necessary regulatory standards, improving the product's marketability in India.
