Rapid advances in the security and surveillance industry mean Network cameras are now used in even more diverse scenarios. To meet the growing market demand from smart city-related applications, SUNNIC has developed surveillance camera modules and products to meet the requirements of various monitoring applications including theft prevention, disaster warning, and traffic monitoring.

The 2MP camera module developed by Sunnic is based on the Sony Starvis IMX 307 image sensor for enhanced low-light performance for high-quality images and less noise. The camera module is integrated with Augentix’s high-performance IC and unique lightstream technology to offer advanced H.265 video compression technology. H.265 reduces bandwidth consumption by 40% to 50% compared to H.264. Functions such as tamper detection, moving object detection and tracking, ROI detection and line crossing detection are supported as well. Power-over-Ethernet (POE) is included to satisfy customers’ need for a total solution for smart network camera applications.
