The SQ Secure series from iMQ represents the pinnacle of hardware-based security. These high-security-level, low-power chips are designed to establish an immutable Root of Trust, protecting sensitive data and cryptographic keys throughout a device's lifecycle. The series is primarily divided into two sub-categories: SQ71 Secure ASIC and SQ77 Secure MCU.
Core Technologies
- PUF (Physically Unclonable Function): Leveraging unique, inherent manufacturing variations in silicon, PUF technology gives each chip an unclonable "fingerprint" that is never stored, making it impervious to physical attacks and cloning.
- Hardware Cryptography: Integrated with a high-quality True Random Number Generator (TRNG) and hardware accelerators for AES-128/256 (symmetric), ECC-256/384 (asymmetric), and SHA-256 hashing algorithms for high-performance, real-time data protection.
- Anti-Tamper Protection: Multi-layered defenses against both invasive and non-invasive attacks, including active tamper detection, secure zone isolation, and memory scrambling.
