Introducing the SONY IMX662 Image Sensor 2022-04-18

The new IMX662 image sensor from SONY is a diagonal 6.45mm (Type 1/2.8) CMOS solid-state image sensor with a square pixel array and 2.4M effective pixels. The chip operates on 3.3V analog/digital 1.8V power supply and has low power consumption. The R, G, B filters offers high sensitivity, low dark current, and no streaking, making it suitable the surveillance camera market and other similar applications.

. 10-bit/12-bit analog/digital converter

. CDS (Correlated Double Sampling) / PGA (Programmable Gain Amplifier) function
    0 dB to 30 dB: 30 dB analog gain (0.3 dB gain interval)
    30 dB to 72 dB: 30 dB analog gain + 0.3 to 42 dB digital gain (0.3 dB gain interval)

. I/O switching supported
    - RAW10 / RAW12 output
    - MIPI CSI-2 output (2-Lane / 4-Lane output) 

Comparison of images in complex lighting conditions:
SONY IMX662 has a larger HDR compared to conventional image sensors. The Clear HDR function on the IMX662 prevents color shift when capturing images of fast-moving objects.
